Out There Designs was born in a whirlwind of overstimulation, side-eyes from strangers, and one big “sod this” moment. We’re Francesca (late-diagnosed ADHD) and Steve (ADHD, OCD, late-diagnosed Autism &  more— basically the full set), a married duo who spent years hiding, apologising, and blending in just to make other people comfortable. After years of masking who we truly are and feeling misunderstood, finally receiving our diagnoses helped us see ourselves clearly—and start owning it.

After one especially overwhelming public event — where Steve was ticking and getting all the wrong kind of attention — we went searching for a t-shirt that could say "Hey, I’m Autistic, not rude/weird/off my face" with a bit of humour minus the pity party. We found absolutely nothing that felt like us. So, we made our own and launched Out There Designs in July 2025!

Now, we design and press every item ourselves — turning bold, funny, empowering slogans into wearable signals of identity, solidarity, and a little sass. Because we believe in owning our brains, laughing at the chaos, and giving other ND folks the power to communicate on their own terms.

We believe in owning our conditions, laughing at the chaos, and showing up exactly as we are — no filters, no fluff. Just real stuff, made by two very real neurodivergent humans. And this is only the beginning — we’ve got tonnes of ideas and no intention of slowing down.
